How to pass taxi Knowledge test?

Knowledge is the toughest taxi test in the world. Required for being a taxi driver since 1865 requires memorizing the quickest routs through London's road network. It takes years to master the Knowledge, but now there is plenty of help and support available.
There are two types of taxi driver in London, green and yellow badge. Green can be hired anywhere in London Authority area and yellow in one of nine sectors.
When you will apply for taxi driver licence in London, you will be given a copy of Blue Book and booklet of advice how to learn the Knowledge. The Blue Book contains a list of 320 routes that you need to learn in order to become a taxi driver. Later you will be invited on Initial talk with Knowledge of London examiner who will tell you about seven stages.
Stage 1 is optional, and no record will be made. It is all about self-assessment based on first 80 runs from Blue Book.
Stage 2 must be held within two years of being sent the Introductory pack. Passing mark is 60% and contains 5 questions about knowledge of Blue Book and 25 questions about landmarks.
Stage 3 to 5 is a series of one-to-one talks with examiner. You will have to point the shortest route between two points in London. Basing on your answers, you will be given a rate from A to D. Too many D's may put you back to previous stage.
Stage 6 is all about suburbs knowledge. You will have to learn an additional 25 routes.
Stage 7 final stage where you can make final application for your licence. You will hear advices about your responsibilities as taxi driver and receive badge as well as your licence.
